1. Who we are
Cymru PAT Compliance provides Portable Appliance Testing and electrical safety compliance services across South Wales.
For data protection enquiries, contact us at info@cymrupatcompliance.co.uk or telephone 07356 056751.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you contact us or use our services, we may collect:
- your name;
- business or organisation name;
- email address and telephone number;
- site address or postcode;
- details you provide about your premises, appliance quantities, access requirements and preferred dates;
- quotation, booking, testing, reporting, invoice and payment-related records;
- communications between you and Cymru PAT Compliance.
3. Why we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange and provide services, communicate about bookings and completed work, produce records and reports, manage invoices and payments, and maintain appropriate business records.
Where you have asked us to provide future inspection or retest reminders, we may also use your contact details to manage that service. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing without an appropriate basis or permission.
4. Our lawful bases
Depending on the purpose, we rely on one or more lawful bases under UK data protection law:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to provide an agreed service.
- Legal obligation: where we need to keep records to comply with legal, accounting or tax requirements.
- Legitimate interests: where reasonably necessary to operate and protect the business, maintain service records, deal with customer queries and manage agreed follow-up, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
5. Website quote requests
When you submit the Request a Quote form, the details you enter are processed so we can respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
The website is hosted by Netlify, which processes website form submissions on our behalf. Form notifications are then delivered to our business email through Google Workspace.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers where this is necessary to operate the business, host the website, manage email, maintain records, provide professional services or meet legal requirements.
Service providers are only given information needed for the relevant purpose and are expected to handle it appropriately.
7. International processing
Some technology providers we use may process or store information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we expect appropriate safeguards required by applicable data protection law to be used.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected and to meet legal, accounting and business record requirements.
- Enquiry and quotation information that does not lead to ongoing work is normally retained only for a reasonable follow-up period.
- Customer, testing, reporting, invoice and transaction records may be retained for longer where required for service history, agreed retest management, legal claims, accounting or tax obligations.
Records are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed.
9. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask us for access to your personal information, correct inaccurate information, erase information, restrict or object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format.
To make a request, contact info@cymrupatcompliance.co.uk.
10. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we use your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). More information is available at ico.org.uk.
11. Cookies and analytics

If we introduce non-essential cookies, analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this notice and introduce any cookie controls required.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, website or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
